“Quill” is an abstract clay sculpture that embodies the essence of earthy forms and textures. It stands as a testament to the beauty found in the natural world and the artistic process, capturing the spirit of creation and the earth itself. The creation process began with forming the body, followed by brushing strips of casting slip onto a plaster slab and placing them one by one into the mouth of the sculpture. The surface was then meticulously brushed with slips and oxides, adding depth and character.
